Hello all athletes, parents, coaches, teachers and administrators! My name is Sean Knox and I am an unstoppable mission to provide today's youth with cutting edge training and education for student athletes facing the recruiting process. It was early in life when I realized my strengths were centered around working with youth. Due to this, I have a Bachelor's of Political Science from the University of Utah and am currently pursuing a Master's degree in Human Performance from the University of New Mexico Highlands.
I bring a wealth of coaching experience on offense, defense, and special teams. My resume includes: coordinator at the College level for strength and conditioning, special teams, as well as in my current position as Defensive Coordinator at Tulare Western High School; all of which bring the player development skills so necessary for success. My resume also includes: Probation officer, Crisis Intervention Instructor, as well as a Treatment Counselor for the State Of Utah! These skills work to develop the student with an awareness of their particular socio-emotional needs.
My own career in football started when I graduated from Tulare Western High School and received a full athletic scholarship to the University of Utah. As a Ute, I was a four-year starter and awarded Rookie of the Year in my freshman season, and went on to break the school record for career interceptions in my senior year while being an All-Conference selection from the prestigious WAC Conference. I am currently ranked fourth in Utah history for interceptions and Ninth in the history of the WAC Conference. I am also #78 of the school's top 100 players of an institution rich football history at the University of Utah.
I also have a career in Taekwondo and have a 5th Degree Black Belt. My current researching and writing for my Masters project is on efficient cross training in the Martial Arts and its application to skill development for football. I am four- time State Champion in Utah as well as represented the US National Team in the World Championship Games in Cheju Island South Korea in 2001.
My passion for teaching, coaching, and motivating youngsters through the process of setting goals and staying focused is why I have founded Pro Day Inc. Over the last decade I have managed to work and implement similar skill camps all over the country including: Notre Dame, Sound Mind Sound Body, the Big Sky Conference Champions at the University of North Dakota, as well as five-time National Championship Team Camp North Dakota State Bison respectively. Through these institutions, I helped with the design, management, and implementation of mentoring programs for the retention of student athletes as they move forward in their career.
My skillset and knowledge about player development is just the beginning of what I have to offer your developing athlete. It is my goal to ensure your child successfully reaches their goals on and off the field. I look forward to serving your family using my knowledge and accomplishments for the preparation and advancement for your child’s Pro Day!
